Don’t miss this exhibition of Palak Mehta’s photographs, paintings and sculptures. A young fine arts student from New Delhi, Palak exhibits some of her recent photographs, paintings and sculptures at her first solo exhibition at the store. There’s a creativity and insight in her art far beyond her years.
In Palak’s own words:
We live in a time-space reality where
everything is nothing and nothing is everything ergo it's always
what you make of it. I find myself in various fields doing various
things but art is something which never fails to give me back to
myself. I didn't find it, it found me. I was good at accounts and
the math but suddenly the whole world made sense again when creation
came into the picture. Right now, as you see it, you create another
form, another colour, another lineature in your brain.
Her inspiration? … an amalgam of nature,
the flora, fauna and my trip around various places in India, the
people and culture. There have been Indian roads, meeting the eyes
of familiar strangers, sharing endless cups of chai, soaking in
the lazy green grass, the enthusiastic rivers in the valley.. and
so much more.
